Comments: 1st edition, 1st printing with full number line. Hardcover with dj from HarperCollins (Laura Geringer imprint:1995), this is Autumn of the Royal Tar by Bruce Stone. Cover art by Bill Dodge in vibrant colors shows woman with lamp and young girl, looking out onto a shipwreck. This copy is clean and tight, with dj that is unmarked, not price clipped, and with no creasing. The cloth boards are unmarked, corners have no dings or bumps. The only thing that keeps me from grading this as Like New is a faint tan discoloration on front edge near corner. Very nice copy of one of Bruce Stone's well-received YA adventures, in gift condition for someone who appreciates a gently used book. We take care to describe our books individually and with accuracy, hoping that the personal touch will give you confidence that the cheaper volume sellers cannot offer. « if ( document.getElementById ) { document.writeln('Show less'); }

I didn't really enjoy Autumn of the Royal Tar for a few reasons. The first reason is it lacked a real plot. It didn't really have a climax or an anti-climax, it was just flat the entire way through. There was nothing that really made me want to keep reading.
Another reason I didn't really enjoy this book is because the charactors didn't really have any personality. They all seemed to lack the energy that all good charactors have.
Altogether, I'm not sure I would recommend this book to anybody.
